European Governments Weigh If It’s Time to Let Some Airlines Disappear

Airlines are passing a difficult time all over the world. The majority of the aircraft’s are grounded, in some airlines all of them and in others 90-95%. This raises the question of what will happen to those airlines. Will they survive without any help from the governments?

According to Brian Sumers, in this story published at Skift, “If the goal is efficient transportation in Europe, politicians may consider only bailing out the five biggest EU airline groups. But many other airlines are expected to receive significant government funds, partly for reasons of national pride”.
